  • 1.  How many authentications per second can Clearpass manage?

    I'm after an estimate of how many user authentications per second Clearpass can manage.

     

    And just to be clear, I class a 'user authentication' as a full EAP exchange of a dozen Access Requests, Challenges etc. We currently peak at about 70 'user authentications' per second which equates to about 750 Access Requests per second. 

     

    The authentication is against AD in our case,  but even a general idea against an arbitary back-end would be appreciated.

    A 25K appliance can handle between 250 and 300 authentications per second reliably.

     

    Many times authentication performance issues are with AD not being able to keep up.

    Check the Scaling and Ordering Guide for current numbers. I heard rumors that tests are going on to get fully updated scaling numbers. For now please stick to the guide.

    Hi Herman and HPE Team,

    I want to get the scaling and ordering guide again to see the number of authentication ClearPass can handle, especially recently i found an updated version of it. But, suddenly now it is very difficult for me to find one.

    All i can get now is this: HPE Aruba Networking ClearPass Policy Manager

    Why the website navigation is getting harder and harder like this? Is there any effort from the website developer to make the navigation easier please?
