Hi!

We have couple of Vendor Class Id = HP J9775A 2530-48G Switch and they can connected with each other via LAG LACP.

Some times when I am typing command on the CLI then it process the command really slow and if I check the cpu usage then I see something like below and if 1 sec ave is above 30 percent then its always slow while typing the command and if its below 30 or some low value then its fine.

 

23 percent busy, from 2 sec ago
1 sec ave: 37 percent busy
5 sec ave: 14 percent busy
1 min ave: 5 percent busy

 

I have seen this save behaviour in one of our remote office on just one Aruba 2530 24 port switch and on that location we have 3 more 2530-48G but didnt see this issue there.

 

I also have few 2530-48G on another remote location but they dont have this issue.

 

I am not sure what it can be? Can it be some old broken cable connected to it or something else?

 

Can you suggest how can I trouble shooth this?

There is a specific thread already opened about this issue...to me it's unclear if there is a Ticket open or not...what I notice is that Aruba 2530 shows high CPU levels on some time windows...personally I had no time to dig deeper because mainly we deal with Aruba 2540 and our infrastructure owns only two Aruba 2530.

Yes its only some time window and not always.

Do you think this will effect the performance?

Anyone suggest something related to this issue?

I just want to add that 16.09.0001 doesn't seem (directly or indirectly) to address random SSH CLI slowness...personally I'm still observing CPU spiking pretty high (I saw 60% too) on just typing - blindly - a particular letter (or deleting) continuosly...so sometime the CLI feedback slows down or, at worst, it freezes...to recover immediately just a second or two after.

Yes. so what can be the solution :).

Solution perhaps involves complaining to TAC.

Better than complaining to TAC...providing TAC the evidence there is an issue going on (by opening a Ticket and loading all the relevant information gathered to let them to reproduce the issue).
