Good Day,

I have a 10G SFP (J9151E) for my 6200 series switch. I need to connect it with another switch which only supports 1G speed. My question is, can the 10G sfp work in 1G mode?

no this will not work, there is no auto negotiation.
you need to get a 1GE transceiver.
