I've been looking at switches to upgrade our network with.

The two major things I've been looking for are:

802.1Q - Vlan Tagging. We need a switch that can handle at least 10 VLANs. It appears that the 2510G handles at least 64.

802.3ad - We have several servers that I'd like to bond the ethernet connections so we have more bandwidth to. I'm aware that both switches are limited to 24 trunks total with a maximum of 8 trunks in a group.

The only major difference I could find between the 2510 and the 2810 is the 2810 has the option to add a redundant power supply. Are there any other differences? ---- If not, I think I'll save the $800 difference and get the 2510.

    Hi,

2810 is also more performant than 2510, so if you are looking for Highspeed Gigabit connection this is the first choice.

    Bye.
