2915 and Cisco 7960G ip phones, no power

    Hello,

     

    I'm using 2915 switches to power Cisco ip phones. The newer phones using LLDP-MED works flawlessly.
    The old ones like the 7960 using cdpv2 requiers old software version 15.09.0020 on switches to power up the phones.
    (The 7960 also tags packets correctly to the voice vlan)
    Using any newer version of switch software and the phones stay dead. Is this by design or is this a bug?

    Snip from config:

    cdp mode pre-standard-voice
    power-over-ethernet pre-std-detect
