    Hİ,

    I have 3Com 4200G 3CR17662-91   fw 3.01.00s56 (I couldn't upgrade firmware it is another case )

And I've  configured it to do radius authentication with calling-station-id attribute  but finally 3com sends mac address to radius server this mode xxxx-xxxx-xxxx  it must be this mode xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx.

    How can I change mac-address mode ?

try the user name format for the mac authentication: for example, from system-view type:

    mac-authentication user-name-format ?

This will show you the formats you can change to it

    regards

    this command result :

    mac-authentication authmode usernameasmacaddress usernameformat ?

with-hyphen MAC address with '-', just like XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX

without-hyphen MAC address without '-', just like XXXXXXXXXXXX,

But if I use with-hyphen command result is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx mode

    I couldn't change to xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx mode

mac-authentication authmode usernameasmacaddress usernameformat with-hyphen lowercase

Will enable the switch to use the user name in MAC address mode for MAC authentication, requiring hyphened lowercase MAC addresses as the usernames and passwords in the format, for example of  00-07-a0-1b-02-e3

Sorry, but if this is not the case maybe things have changed  and you need to call HP support.

    regards

    Hi,

I upgraded 3com software 3.01.00s56 to 3.02.07s168 and  after that came "calling-station-id mode mode2 lowercase" command . This command solved my problem.

    Thanks for your help
