Side note (my two cents): Support for DACs shouldn't be necessarily associated 1:1 with the concept of Stacking (correctly "Frontplane Stacking" such as VSF given that we're speaking about DACs and not about " Backplane Stacking" requiring specialized  Stacking Cables) so the absence/presence of VSF feature shouldn't directly mean (as a consequence) a Switch wouldn't/would be engineered with proper DACs support...in my opinion the "triggering factor" is more related to the product positioning AND the engineered hardware capabilities...so a Switch engineered to work on Distribution/Core layers (with ToR/EoR/Core role) - instead of simple Access - is typically a natural candidate to support DACs (for the very simple reason of better sustaining Switch-to-Switch and Switch-to-Server connectivity), the fact that such type of Switch will be VSF (Stacking) capable too is a side effect (because, to simplify, on most of the networking designs involving Distribution/Core layers the VSF is a desired feature and, as such, implemented VSF could benefit of DACs support already present, not vice-versa).
