635 & 577 high 2.4ghz channel utilization after firmware upgrade

    Hi all,

    Anyone else seen high 2.4ghz channel utilization after upgrading from 8.10.0.9_88493 to 8.11.2.1_88699? No config changes before or after upgrading but seeing 99% utilization with low/0 clients. Have 167 IAPs in the instant cluster total.

    Before (firmware 8.10.0.9_88493):

    After (firmware 8.11.2.1_88699):

    Tried many different combinations of settings but I can't seem to figure out what is causing the 99% util.

    It's good to hear it's not just us then, was starting to worry it was our setup.

    Be interesting to findout what sort of issue it was since it does seem to effect the 2.4Ghz radios so it's not just a reporting issue.

    I don't have specifics, but a reboot is the only "workaround" for the issue at this time.

    I downgraded our clusters back to 8.10.0.9 which fixed the issue for us.

    I am using AP-615 with 8.11.1.2 and the utilization pf 2.4 radios are normal.

    615 is a different chipset that doesn't have the issue.

    I've seen a recent mention of the issue showing in 8.10.0.8, not sure how valid that report is.  The reboot from the recent downgrade would act as the "workaround" until/unless the particular issue starts showing again.

    Bad statistics require no downgrade. It's just bad statistics.

    next you will tell me 8.11.2.1 isnt fully supported in airwave 8.3.0.2 in gui mode. try change the power level of your AP it will fail.

    Please open a TAC case for that, if Airwave works with 8.11.2.0, there is not really a reason why it wouldn't work with 8.11.2.1 as minor updates don't change the configuration.
