    I am looking for a solution that will make students redirect to a splash page every time they authenticate using 802.1x. The landing page has a login page that should be authenticated against before they access another page.

    You would make the dot1x default role in the AAA profle "logon".

     

    It makes for a difficult workflow, however.

    If they're already autheticating via 802.1X, why would they be challenged for credentials again? This is not recommended.

    How about redirecting them to an external page after they authentic? We used to use captive portal, but decided to implement 802.1x after implementing ClearPass.

    The college requires that students get redirected to an external page after they authentic.
