    HI!

I`m tiring to decide what`s transceiver SFP its the best choice to connect two brand office in different buildings. I have one fiber installation based on:

    - About: 200meters

    - fiber Multi Mode 62,5/125

    - Bandwidth needed: 100Mbps.

The old standard for get this scenario its 100BASE-FX but with the A5500 Series it don`t appears to be compatible. In this case with the HP configurator http://h10144.www1.hp.com/configurator/configurator.htm only get:

    - 100Base-SX

    - 100Base-LX

Are there new standards for 100Mbps? Are there compatible with 100Base-FX electronic.

I suppose that this new standard can run with fibers in 200 and 62,5/125.

    Can anybody confirm this?

    Thanks

100Base-SX uses two strands of multi-mode

100Base-Lx uses two strands of single-mode

I guess you should use SX.

The short answer is that they are not compatible but completely replace the 100-FX technology.
