Setting up wireless connections wirelessly is tricky.
It's easier if you connect the printer with a cable to your network so that it can obtain the correct IP address information. Usually, they use private IP addressing (192.168.0.x). Th IP addresses, of course, must be in the same subnet as your laptop and using the same mask. Do an IPCONFIG /ALL from a prompt on your notebook and see what IP, mask, and gateway it's using. Match that up with your printer.
What does your network consist of? Do you have a wireless router? Hub? DSL router, etc.? There must be a device on your network that will broadcast IP information via DHCP unless you want to set up the IP, mask, and gateway manually.
Your laptop has to have several parameters set: SSID and WEP on/off, etc and the printer's wireless device has to match whichever WEP key you insert, if you chose to use one. I usually choose to broadcast the SSID and use no WEP key to set up the wireless network, then tighten security later.
I am not familiar with the language settings.
