Hi!

 

I'm trying to evaluate switch support in Aruba Central.

But I get stuck on step1, adding the switch.

Tried adding my lab switch J9774A with S/N and Mac with the info I get from these commands:

sh system | in Serial

sh system | in Base

 

But central tells me "Either MAC Address or Serial number is incorrect".

 

Any suggestions ?

Hi, make sure you run firmware 16.3 or higher.

Also, check if your dns can be resolved.

If you still get the error, I think you have to contact TAC to check the backend database

I can ping google.com from the switch and I'm running 16.07

That sometimes happens with eval units that may not be in the right inventory. Please open a TAC case to get some help.
