    Hi Masters,

We have a HP J9851A  5412Rzl2(KB.16.04.0008) Switches that is currently running on a single Management Module(MM) and we are planning to add a secondary MM for redundancy. Just a few questions, Is there a process we should look out for before inserting the secondary MM? Do we need to upgrade the software first or can we proceed with it? Below is output from the switch for your reference. Thanks

    Configured Mode: Nonstop Switching
    Current Mode : Warm Standby
*Nonstop switching is not supported with different SW versions in MM1 and MM2.

Rapid Switchover Stale Timer : 90
    Failovers : 0
    Last Failover :

Slot Module Description State SW Version Boot Image
    ---- ---------------------------------------- -------- ------------- ----------
    MM1 HP J9827A Management Module 5400Rzl2 Active KB.16.04.0008 Primary
    MM2 (null)

    Hi Raymond,

I will point you to an older thread, where the same was already discussed:
    https://community.arubanetworks.com/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?GroupId=25&MessageKey=049fd605-5529-4c16-b1a7-d5b5edac38cf&CommunityKey=22dc38ea-a1e1-4059-b55e-a622fedecf32&tab=digestviewer

The MMs are hotswappable (will sync, reboot and come online as standby) and there should be no downtime, but just in case perform it during maintenance window (as proposed by Dustin/ off hours) - in case it doesn't come up and you need to reboot the chassis.

    Hi sneydenov,

Thank you for your assistance, I can confirm that I was able to attach the secondary management modules without any issue or a reboot of the chassis.
