Hi,

All the posts I have found regarding licensing have been pretty old, so I'm not sure what is still valid.

I will be deploying my first Airwave instance pretty soon, and would like to find out which licenses I need to get this working.

I guess the different license SKUs enable different functionality - just not sure what functionality I will require.

At least initially, I will be onboarding 51x AP535 APs and 8 controllers, a mix of 7010's, 7030's and 7210's

The Aruba chat support agent was not able to help with regards to the licenses I will need, but suggested that JW546AAE is the SKU that is most often needed.

What do the other SKUs seen here My Networking Portal - Licenses (arubanetworks.com) provide?

AirWave is per device license. Devices include Controllers, AP's, switches.
So, if you have 51 AP's, 8 controllers and mix of switches, License should be 59+ num of switches at the minimum.
However, licenses are sold as 50, 100, 500, etc. 
I would suggest to check with your Aruba Account manager to provide right SKU for the device count + future expansion.
