AOS8 and ALE

    Hi all,

     

    Could someone confirm me that we need to link externals ALEs intances to a MM (AOS8+) to enable location, geofence... data throught the northbound APIs ? 

     

    Until now, the only documentation I've found about this topic is there (Despite the default AOS8 docs) : https://fr.slideshare.net/ArubaNetworks/emea-airheads-configuring-different-apis-in-aruba-8x (Slides 30-35)

    ** By default, ZMQ feed or REST API does not contain location, geofence and presence info. These are only updated in GSM
    ** If location, presence and geo-fence information is required, the customer will have to subscribe to ZMQ from indivisual ALEs


    I was hoping that AOS8 was the end of ALE separate licensing... (= More sales power/possibilities... and more opportunities to bring amazing custom apps to the market...)
