  • 1.  AOS8.10 ble-txpower not taking effect

    Posted Oct 11, 2025 09:42 PM

I am trying to configure the output power for the BLE iBeacons in a fleet of AP-635 running AOS 8.10.0.17.  Everything is default for the APs, and I have configured 1 iBeacon per AP.  They are all beaconing fine, but some are weak.

I am trying to set an iot radio-profile for the AP, like so:

    iot radio-profile BLE_highpower
      radio-mode ble
      ble-txpower 4

    ap-name TESTAP
      iot radio-profile BLE_highpower

And then I reboot that AP for its unique config profile to take effect.

But the BLE Tx Power never seems to change.  Is this a limitation of the hardware, software, or user?

As far as i know, the BLE valid Tx power values which can be configured range from: -20, -16, -12, -8, -4, 0, 3, 4 dBm, so you already have the highest one configured.

Try assigning the iot radio-profile globally instead of per-AP, to check if that solves the case.
