A factory default AP should get an IP address from the DHCP server no matter its AP or IAP. You can check the AP mac-address in the DHCP Server logging and check if the DHCP Server give an IP offer. If not, check your network layer-2 configuration and DHCP server and/or create a packet-capture and analyze that. If you have a serial console cable for the your AP model, you can follow the boot-process and see the DHCP request/offer.

    Hi Omega99,

For a VMC you will need to install a MC-VA-xx licences.

Do you install a VMC managed by a Mobility Conductor you will need to install the licences through this Mobility Conductor. You will need then:

    • MM-VA-xx for the mobility conductor
    • MC-VA-xx for the virtual mobility controllers
    • LIC-AP for Access Point capacity
    • LIC-PEF for Policy Enforment Firewall (highly recommended)
    • optial LIC-RFProtect and/or Web-CC

Please contact your local Aruba partner for licences.
