AP-303s have unified image which means you can run it with controllers and also when factory reset it can run in Aruba Instant mode as well.
As per the installation guide:
To reset the 303 Series access points to factory default settings, press and hold down the reset button using a
small, narrow object such as a paper clip for several seconds while powering up the AP, or for more than 10
seconds during normal operation.

Subject: AP 303 wont factory reset
Hi Everyone, I have an Aruba AP 303 that I'm trying to factory reset, but it doesn't seem to be working. This access point was previously connected to a controller, and its license has expired.
I'd like to try using it as a standalone device. Is this still possible, and can anyone offer some guidance on how to configure it in this mode?
