    I recently purchased an Aruba AP-325 access point for my home office but have no idea how to set it up. Can someone please help me

    If you have an IAP-325-xx model, starting with an I, you can use it perfectly at home in Instant mode (that's what the I stands for).

    An AP-325 requires a separate (hardware) controller to be functional.

    Currently I only have the AP-325 access point so I just ordered a 7005 controller and it will arrive next week.

    Then you'll need at minimum an AP license.

    If all you want is something to provide wireless at home, your best option would be one of the Instant On products.  Those are meant for easier deployment in SMB environments.

    My recommendation is that you get an IAP-325, no controller, no license, and an orange console cable just in case you need it for setup. If you don't need it you can return it unopened.
