  • 1.  AP-505H: UL-MU-MIMO?

    Hello,

     

    reading the AP-505H datasheet it says:

    "Similar to downlink MU-MIMO in Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave 2), the 500H Series can simultaneously connect clients using downlink – and now – uplink spatial streams. The added benefit is the ability to multiply the number of clients that can now send traffic, thus optimizing client-to-AP spatial stream diversit"

     

    Comparing the AP-505H with other AP-5xx it says "No" to UL-MU-MIMO.

     

    Which one is correct?

    IDK, maybe in a future code release it will be enabled. With only 2x2:2, I'm not sure how much that would help anyways.

    Sounds like we need to update the datasheet. AP-505H does not (and will never support) UL-MU-MIMO.

    And as mentioned, MU-MIMO in general is (supported but) of limited value (and not a mandatory Wi-Fi 6 feature) on a 2x2 radio.

    I would have wished you said something else. Let´s hope those AP-505H and ArubaOS 8.7.0 will be available, soon.
