  • 1.  AP-635 heartbeat timeout

    Hi Everyone,

We are running a test environment for HPE Aruba AP-635 currently but we've encountered heartbeat time out issues for a time period during consistently 9am ~ 10am.

The network goes like this: AP-635 -> Aruba 6200F PoE Sw -> Cisco Catalyst 9300L CoreSw Stack -> 2x Aruba 9004 WLC.

We've ran the debug logs on the APs itself and have seen this reason given which is "AP reboostrap called by function sapd_cfg_reset_on_redirect due to redirect"

I couldn't find anymore info on this particular reason, can anyone shed some light on what this reason means?

    Thanks.

While not 100% sure, I think this means that the AP is moved to the other controller, which after a timeout probably is that there is something preventing the AP from communicating with the controller. I found in another TAC case where this message was shown that there were indeed connectivity problems on the LAN.

Not sure what happens 9am-10am; could it be that you have topology changes (spanning tree)?
