Hello,

We have an AP-654 which we are hoping to deploy. As I understand it 6GHz won't work as it has not been approved in the UK. But am I right in saying we should be able to run 2.4 and 5GHz on it? At the moment all the radios show as being in AM mode. I tried turning off the 6GHz radio but that didn't seem to make a difference.

How can we run this AP as an AP not an AM?

Check the DRT. You need a minimum of 1.0_93670 or later for 2.4/5 GHz with the 654 in the UK (CC GB).

Thank you - yes we needed to upgrade so I have done that. That has fixed it (2.4 and 5 now working) but there is a difference between the 654 and 634 6GHz radio that we are testing on. Here are the two different outputs for the radios. As you can see they differ but both are in the same group, same radio profile.

Do you know why that might be? We have had a tentative suggestion from our Aruba contact that it could be differences between the chipsets, which sounds plausible, but...?

An update to this - it appears that the later DRTs allow the 654 to broadcast on 6GHz (admittedly on LPI channels) but that seems wrong (for comparison the 634 puts the 6GHz radio into AM mode). Our Aruba contact is reporting this so we'll get more info. Changing DRT to the very latest version 94311 had no effect on this, and nor did moving to a previous version - 93903.
