I'm seeing random radio LED behavior on APs managed by a controller cluster. IPM is enabled (Disable USB and ALT Eth ), mixed 300- and 500-series APs ,  Issue happens randomly on all APs when powered by 802.3at injector or Cisco switch (30W).

Radio LED sometimes blinks green/amber, and after a physical reboot it returns to solid green (attached). Installation guide says green/amber means one radio in monitor mode.

Any idea what could cause this and whether it can impact user performance?

If a radio on those APs is indeed in scanning or air monitor mode, that would certainly affect user performance. I should be easy to verify that from the management software. What code and version are you running? Did you verify that the AP has properly negotiated the POE class of the source? You may need to explicitly enable LLDP for that on the Cisco switch. Regardless, IPM would typically not switch a radio to monitor mode, and whenever IPM applies restrictions, the system LED is the one that would turn amber.

    Thanks

i have multiple cluster V8.10.0.17 (LSR) and 8.10.0.20 (LSR) and it happened on both

POE class of the source : Yes, PoE negotiation looks fine , We're using an Aruba AP-POE-BTSR for 500-series APs and Cisco switches for 300-series APs, and the issue happens in both

Do you have mode aware or anything else configured that would be placing a radio into AM mode automatically?
