Do your access points have access to the internet? If they do not, and all of those access points have different versions of InstantOS, they will not form a cluster. You could also try "admin", "admin" and see if that gets you into the AP. If you get in, you should try to manually upgrade/downgrade them to the same firmware. For example, the 555 has a minimum software version of 8.5.0.0. The 585 has a minimum version of 8.10.0.2. If the 585 comes up after the 555 becomes the conductor, it cannot downgrade to 8.5.0.0 so it will form its own cluster and register errors on its console.
Recommended: Boot up each access point on a separate network and make sure you upgrade them all to the same version of code of 8.10.0.2 at minimum, so that they can all see each other and form a cluster.

Subject: AP standalone mode
We are running a few different ap models 555 , 535, and 585. Our cable installer hooked up alot of aps before the switch ports were configured properly and alot came up in standalone mode. The weird behavior though is it seems they would pick one randomly as a conductor and we couldn't login to any aps with their serial number because i guess it uses the serial number on whoever was elected the conductor. Only way we could fix it was shut down all the aps all over the campus until we got one online and logged in to convert it to campus.
Is this normal behavior? Trying to avoid this happening in the future if run into a similar issue it's a real PITA to troubleshoot and fix especially when every 15 min they would reboot and then pick a new ip of the conductor
