  • 1.  AP420 radios apparently shutting down.

    Posted Jan 30, 2008 01:28 PM
While monitoring our AP420s in ProCurve Manager, I've noticed that some of them on occasion will not show any radio information. The icons for viewing clients, neighbors, etc. are greyed out. The access points show a status of "good" and can be pinged, but they cannot be accessed in any way via telnet or the web interface. When this happens, connection to the network for clients is non-existent even though they can see the SSID and show good signal strength. To solve the issue we have to cycle the power on the access point.
This has happened with AP's running 2.2.3 and 2.1.7 software versions now.
    Any clues?

    Thanks,
    Rick

    Hi Rick,

I have exactly the same problem. We have over 220 AP420 so it's a lot of power cycling.

    Have you solved the problem?

Is there anyone out there having a solution?

    Regards,
    John

    Hi cenk

I attache a file containing the information you want.

I noticed this morning that 3 of my AP are not reachable with telnet or web-interface. They answer my ping.

I now have to cycle power and unfortunately this 3 are not connected to a PoE-switch.
