  • 1.  AP735 offline in central but available via cli...

    Posted Oct 03, 2025 06:12 AM

    Hello,

Just checked out clients system status and noted that one ap 735 running w/ 10.7.1.1 was reported to be offline there in Central.
Checked out from switch lldp that AP was available and logged in to cli which reported "SSL Error" (see below)

From cli I noted that ssid using 802.1x auth was absent and far as I know two PSK ssid's worked ok (by checking remotely).
Networking to dns was working fine and after reload also ap started to work fine...
If there was issues in cloud ssl stuff during 26th sep does anybody have idea why ap did not recover connection when possible ssl problem was fixed?

Expectation is that the AP would have automatically recovered, determining why that didn't happen might be possible if you saved the tech-support logs prior to reloading the AP.

    Hello,

I took tech-support & supplemental printouts before reload... Any idea what to seek from those?

I don't want to open TAC case for this because this kind of cases where there is issue which is not oblivious (eg. cat cable is faulty or psu burst into flames...), are usually so time consuming.

Just to inform that problem was in TPM which seemed to crashed and it seems that ap does not survive from it by itself and needs reload to reset module (should be automatic I think)

No, issue was is software side and overall fix was to reload ap.. If this happens again then maybe RMA is an option.

Okay so trying to find slot to upgrade devices to >= 10.7.2

(hope there is forthcoming fix to "bad TPM state" which prevents such situation beforehand)

The "bad TPM state" is basically a process accessing the TPM and blocking others from doing so, the fix is as noted in the release notes.
