  • 1.  AppRF / Traffic Analysys for specific SSIDs

    Hello Community,

i found out, that the AppRF feature of IAP205/305 and 505 could be interesting for us. Since it could reveal User-Related Data, i'm asking if it is possible, to restrict this feature to specific SSIDs?

It is enabled as a global option. You can however ACLs for Applications and Application Category's on a per User Role (so within a SSID) basis.

As Craig mentioned, it is enabled globally but can be further controlled by SSID or User Role.

AppRF is visibility into what applications are being used and detected on the network and which applications you can block or throttle or allow.

Simply turn it off if you dont want to use it or if you have specific applications you want to block, follow Craig's link

It seems, we are talking about different functionalities? (I'm sorry if i'm wrong)
I am looking for a way do disable Traffic Analysis (on Airwave at Home > Traffic Analysis) for a specific SSID (Not blocking the traffic itself - only the Information delivered to Airwave). But we want to use Traffic Analysis for all other SSIDs.

It's necessary because of GDPR and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 - this Regulation forbids, to collect for example visited Pages from public Devices if you don't have the explicit user agreement. Otherwise we want to collect the Data from internal business Devices.

If there is no way, then we cant use this feature.
