The event log buffer should rotate automatically and show just the most recent events (drop older events).
You can clear the buffer with the command: "clear logging", but sometimes the 80% full message re-appears and a reboot of the switch removes it. But as the message is more cosmetic than impacting you can also ignore it. Or open a TAC case for further investigations.
