Hi guys,
According to Quick Specs, performance parameters for this model are:
Throughput: Up to 112 Mpps
Stacking Performance: 100 Gbps
Switching Capacity: 176 Gbps
Switching Capacity (including Stacking): 278 Gbps
The most demanding configuration for this model is: 48 10/100/100 ports + 4 10GE ports + 2 25GE ports
For this demanding configuration:
Port switching capacity would be: 176 Gbps
Throughput for these ports would be: 130.95 Mpps
Stacking switching capacity would be: 100 Gbps
Stacking throughput would be: 74.4 Mpps
I have some questions I would like you to answer and explain me:
- Why Switching Capacity (including Stacking) is 278 Gbps, instead of 276 Gbps. I think it is an error in Quick Specs.
- Why switch throughput is up to 112 Mpps?. Only port throughput is 130.95 Mpps, and if you add stacking throughput you can talk about 130.95+74.4=205.35 Mpps for throughput. Does this mean that this switch model is not wire rate?
Thanks in advance for your support.
