Technically speaking if you reboot the Standby management module with an Active management module correctly running on the same Chassis...the reboot process will affect only the Standby management module that, after the reboot, will became management module with the Standby role again...the point is that the management module installed on 1/1 of ACTIVE-1 is not in Standby status since it just appears as "Present" (but not recognized)...so, as I wrote, it's also possible that the AOS-CX will not permit you to reboot (since it's neither in Active status nor in Standby status).

Hi,
If I try to reboot the Management Module 1/1 through command does it affect any traffic flow? As switch is in production, do I need to take downtime to reboot that 1/1 module?
Thanks in adavance.

Looking at:
ACTIVE-1# sh module

1/1 R0X31A 6400 Management Module SG2AKMG08M Active (local)
1/2 R0X31A 6400 Management Module SG28LGY03D Standby
it appears that Management Module 1/1 on ACTIVE-1 (VSX Primary I presume) is just installed but neither Active nor Standby, as it was not initialized.
Would be interesting to see if you can force a management module 1/1 reboot on ACTIVE-1 although that command should probably require first that that management module is correctly recognized and initialized to proceed (eventually it should show up as the Standby management module on the VSX member ACTIVE-1 since the 1/2 is the currently Active one).
Have you tried to update the VSX from 10.10.1050 to 10.10.1071 first?

On one switch I can only see the Module state is present but unable to see its description, part number and serial number.
Can anyone suggest what can be the issue or what can check to troubleshoot.
Thanks in advance.
