Hi.

Could I please have confirmation that this AP can be used as an IAP?

I had a recent experience where a sales/procurement team ordered:
AP-325 Part Number JW186A which couldn't be used as an IAP. Only a Campus AP.  The AP325 would take the Instant Firmware just would never let you login via gui as the country code couldn't be set and 2x AP325 AP's never went through any election process, they would be 2 seperate VC's. In the end, they had to change to Part Number JW325A....I would like to avoid any potential issues like this.

I called HP today and they told me Aruba AP-515 (RW) - Part Number Q9H62A can be used as an IAP or even a RAP, which I would like confirmation is correct. Because clearly on the Aruba 510 Series datasheet it states it is a Campus AP and no reference to IAP.

Is the 500-510+ model more flexible than the 320 series?

All the APs we sell these days are UAP or IAP, Controller-Based or RAP capable.  515 is a UAP.

I was expecting an answer like "it is UAP but will support IAP firmware", as it kind of mentions in the Aruba Datasheets (about being cross compatible).

Can you confirm this AP (AP-515 - Part Number Q9H62A)will support IAP mode/firmware, where it will have a VC and AP's under the VC which can be monitored and pointed to an Airwave server?
