If you just brought the APs up and immediately checked, AirMatch (RRM) probably hasn't run yet. You can trigger an optimization manually via API (https://central.wifidownunder.com/deployment-airmatch.html as an example).
40 MHz is likely a better max channel width for the 5 GHz radio of ~10 APs. Use 80 MHz for 6 GHz if your local regulatory allows for all 1200 MHz of the band.

Subject: Aruba Central 80 Mhz Channels
I have deployed three AP-635 (10.7.x firmware) access points in a new facility we are preparing to move into. I have about six more to install....but have the first three up and running. I have enabled "Activate Optimization" for the entire system within Aruba Central and other than disabling the 2.4 GHz radio, have left everything else default.
On the three APs that are running, in the 5 GHz band, two of them have already assigned the same channel, using channel 100 (80 MHz width). These three APs are in relative close proximity to each other. I don't have any clients connected yet. And two of them have also assigned the same channel on the 6 GHz band as well
AP 1 (5 GHz = Ch 100 / 6 GHz = Ch 101)
AP 2 (5 GHz = Ch 100 / 6 GHz = Ch 133)
AP 3 (5 GHz = Ch 116 / 6 GHz = Ch 133)
Being new to Aruba and Aruba Central, I thought if I had the optimization set, these APs would detect each other and wouldn't assign radios to the same channel. Is my thought process off here. Should I disable 80 MHz and set the max channel width at 40 MHz? When I add other APs, will they too start using the same channels?
Would be interested in others thoughts on this. Thanks!
