  • 1.  Aruba Central (New UI) – MSTP instances lost / VLAN mapping disappears + error when editing or saving STP profile

    Hi all,

    Today I ran into a new issue with Aruba Central (New UI) regarding MSTP configuration.

    A few days ago I successfully created and deployed an STP profile set to MSTP mode, and I configured 4 MST instances with the corresponding VLAN-to-instance mappings. Everything was working correctly.

    Today I needed to add a new VLAN. The VLAN creation in Aruba Central works fine, and the VLAN is deployed without any issues.
    However, when I go back to edit the MSTP configuration, I see that:

    The STP profile and MST instances are still there
    All VLANs previously mapped to the MST instances have disappeared (the instance → VLAN mapping is empty)

    If I try to edit one of the MST instances, Aruba Central throws the following error:

    I also tried creating a new STP profile from scratch, but when I click Save I get a similar error:

    I would open a ticket and get it escalated to ERT so a proper resource can assist. The jr guys will drag this out if ERT is not working the case.

     @luca.pignedoli This is not an issue that engineering team was able to reproduce. If you have any tac ticket please share and we will have this looked at on priority.
