  • 1.  Aruba new Central - missing existing configs

    Posted Dec 03, 2025 11:32 AM

    Hi airheads, dear Aruba Team,

if I'm switching from classic to new central I'm missing my Wifi and Switch Configs, floor plans too. Where can I find them?

Where can I find a migration tool to import all my stuff to new central view?

We are Multi Service Provider at central and we have al lot of customer to support  and done a huge amount of work for the configuration - we definitely need an migration tool to import all these things.

    Best regards

    Michael

I don't believe there a migration of tool.

You can find the online documentation where it has a few videos and also check the "Get started " section.

I just had a meeting with my local SE about New Central. There is no configuration migration tool available at this time. There's some support for copying/pasting configurations if you have access to the New Central API. The documentation explains how to create a new device group in Classic Central and toggle New Central support on. But you'll need to create your Wifi and switch configs manually. You can create configuration items at the "Library" level and then assign them to Sites, device groups, or individual devices.

Personally, I am going to wait a few months to see if Aruba adds a configuration migration option to the default UI and continue to use Classic Central for config changes for now.

I have done a few WiFi configuration and it is not hard or time consuming, cause once you configure the profiles you can re use it at various level of hierarchy, most of it is covered in the Central section of the Validated Solution Guide

Also it is recommended to also contact your local Aruba SE who can advise accordingly.

we are using MSP Central and like I know there is no way to use new central objects hierachical across different tenants, right?

So this ist no solution for my company. Where is the investment protection for all our workload and time we had in the past without a migration tool???

we have to make pressure to Aruba networks instead of waiting: where is the investment protection for all our workload and time we had in the past without a migration tool???
