Aruba OS 6.3.1 on controller and AP-205 OS 6.4.1

    Hi Guys/Girls,

     

    I have a client running OS 6.3.1 on their controller and they don't want to upgrade the firmware at this point in time.

     

    They recently purchased IAP-205's running OS 6.4.1

     

    We are trying to convert the IAP's to AP's via the controller but the IAP's keep failing to retrieve the configuration from the controller even though we can ping the controller from the CLI.

     

    The client has enough spare licenses available.

     

    Could it be the firmware and/or is their a work around or do we need to provide AP-135's for example running the same firmware as Controller?

    The iap-205s points will not successfully convert unless the controller is running 6.4.  They also will not work without 6.4.
