Aruba vs Ruckus? Horizontal / Vertical coverage antenna design??

    We have a new Wireless Engineer who comes from a Ruckus background. He stated that Ruckus APs provide both Horizontal and Vertical coverage (dual polarity)  due to something with their antenna design.I believe this would be called a "dual polarized antenna".

     

    He stated Aruba does not do this. Is this markeing? I did not follow all of it. Does Aruba do this same thing? Anyone aware of this scenario? Any education would be great.

    The "normal" AP's (like the 305) has built-in downtilit antenna's. These should always be mounted on a ceiling, facing downwards.

     

    You can also use a model with external antenna's (like the 304) it will allow you to install different antenna's, including dual polarized (ANT-28 and ANT-35a) and even an multi polarized (ANT-38)
