    Hi there,

    Considering I have MC-VA-50 + MM-VA-50. So I can have up to 50 managed devices. I'd have 1 x MC VM and 1 x MM VM (2 VMs).

I'd like to expand to 100 managed device.

    So I'd buy 1 x MC-VA-50 and MM-VA-50.

The question is, can I have the following scenarios?

    #1

    2 x MC VMs (50 devices, each) + 1 x MM VM (100 devices) = 3 VMs.

    #2

     2 x MC VMs (50 devices, each) + 2 x MM VMs (50 devices, each) = 4 VMs.

    #3

    1 x MC VM (100 devices) + 1 MM VM (100 devices) = 2 VMs.

    Thanks in advance.

As all licenses are consolidated on the primary MM, all three of your options are possible. You can make the MM redundant. You can also spin VMC as many as you like (till the maximum of your MM license).

Note that your VMCs will also require an MM license, so with 2 VMCs you can have 98 APs on your 2xMM-50 license (2+98=100=2x50).

Herman, thanks for the quick reply.

    1 x MC VM (100 devices) + 1 MM VM (100 devices) = 2 VMs.

Just to confirm, Can I "merge" 2 x MM/MC into one bigger MM/MC? That is totally ok...

Yes, licenses are 'stacked' on the MM. So 2x MM50 results in an MM with 100 device licenses. Make sure that you assign the correct resources for the VMM and VMC to be sized equal or higher than the 100 devices that you will need.
