Hi! On a VSF (two Aruba 5406R zl2) running on ArubaOS-Switch 16.05.0007 I was always used to see that the show system power-supply detailed CLI command reported details only for VSF Commander's powered PS Modules (PS1 and PS2) lacking totally about PS Modules inserted into the VSF Standby member.

Example:

Is that a "bug" solved on newer software release or just the designed way the command was built?

Second question: is it normal to see those differences between PS1 and PS2 (recently changed due to a fault -> PS2 was made in India and newer than PS1 which was made in China)?

Note that both PS Modules are on the same VSF Commander chassis...and I always looked at the temperature values reported by PS1 (and old PS2 now gone) as normal for the ambient temperature we know there is into the whole rack.

It is a known issue that "show system power-supply detailed" command gives PS details of teh commander only on a stack/VSF

Fix is coming in CPE 29 (CR250966)

show system power-supply (without detailed option) works and that provides some info

Hi! Thanks...it was the very first of my suspects. Out of curiosity what does CPE 29 mean? I know what CR means in this context (CR = Change Request)...but...does CPE 29 mean that next ArubaOS-Switch 16.10 software version incorporating the fix will be released during week 29th 2020?

As far as I know CPE means COLLEGES WITH POTENTIAL FOR EXCELLENCE.

It is just numerically incrementing last release was CPE 28

Release CPE29: Expected in early-mid June (Please add a week or two buffer for communicating to customer during this Covid-19 pandemic)

Gosh, mine was a joke!

I'm pretty sure that CPE is the acronym of Current Product Engineering (referred to a Software branch)...so, OK...it's CPE 29th...and thus the next stage will be the GA release, expected to be available in early-mid June 2020.
