Automate AP rename via Virtual Controller

    Hello all,

I am looking for a way to change the hostnames of the individual APs centrally via the virtual controller in an automated way.

On a standalone hardware controller this can be done with the command "ap-rename {ap-name <name>|serial-num <num>|wired-mac <macaddr>} <new-name>".

I'm looking for something similar for the virtual controller by whatever means (cli, rest API etc).

Airwave solves this using the command:

    per-ap-settings <macaddr AP>
    hostname <new hostname>

What are the possibilities to do this without Airwave?

I am grateful for any approach

    Many greetings,
    Luke

The only way to do it using only the VC is and going through the AP setting and rename it  one by one.
or Login to VC, from VC you can do ssh to other APs and rename them "ssh <slave-ip> user admin"
