  • 1.  Backing up audit-trail to external server

    Hello,

    AOS 8.13.1.1

    2 large active clusters with corresponding failover clusters
    MCR and standby MCR for each of the above systems

    What are the options for backing up the audit-trail on AOS (not Central managed)? Can we backup to an external server?

    That's what syslog is for.

    Hi Carson,

    It looks like we're logging level 3, and I don't see audit-trail type stuff on our syslog server. So would it just be a matter of changing that logging level so that it includes all the logs that we want (ie to include audit-trail)?

    I'm not entirely sure at what level the messages you want are set, but once you figure that out and the specific module you're after, then you can set the logging for that specific module to that level rather than setting the entire system.

    I think it should be part of Level 6 (Informational)
