Hello Airhead Community,

First time posting here and network newbie, so please, be kind :). I am trying to limit the amount of bandwidth accessible while connected to the office's Guest SSID, but cannot seem to find the setting.

I am able to see specific SSID settings for my Guest network under: Wireless > AP Configuration > AP Group > Wireless LAN > Virtual AP > SSID > 'Profile Details', but none of those options mention anything related to bandwidth limitations. 

I am using the Aruba Cloud Services Controller - SMO-ARUBA7005-WC01.

Bandwidth restrictions are handled in the role. So you need to figure out which role is used for your guests. For that role, you can define bandwidth limitations:

Those limits can be defined on a per-role basis, which means, that all clients with role will get the amount of bandwidth, or per-user, which means, that every user with this role will get this amount of bandwidth or on a per-ap-group basis, which means, that all clients connected to the same AP group will get this amount of bandwidth.

So will joining the Guest SSID tag each client with a specific role? If not, how would I assign roles to these guest devices not currently connected to the network?

Additionally, my UI looks a bit different – screenshot attached. Do you know where those settings are on this version?

looks like you are running 6.x software. that's not a problem, the concept is the same. 

You need to go into the role and create a new bandwidth rule:

And you need to make sure, that this role is assigned to the guest by selecting the role as the authenticated role in the VAP's AAA profile:

Example,

Im config bandwith limit 5mb/user, and i want to open specific mac address. so how to config??
