  • 1.  Blank landing pages for Internal Guest Authentication - IAP 635 virtual controller

    Hello,

    I have the following configuration:

    cluster of 7 IAP's - 

    Running Version:  8.12.0.4 SSR

    Firmware:  8.12.0.4_91755 SSR (Digitally Signed - Production Build)

    Guest public Wifi assigned to VLAN 700 with internal Authentication.

    WildCard cert is used for the virtual controller and functions properly on the Web UI and initial splash page.

    DHCP for the vlan comes from the "network" - firewall with both DHCP server and DNS proxy.  DNS proxy resolves the the captive-portal URL to the IP of the Aruba Virtual controller.

    All other DNS forwards out to public DNS servers.

    Firewall rule also allows all traffic from the VLAN 700 subnet to the main subnet for testing this configuration and will be adjusted once confirmed functioning.

    Testing with a laptop connected to the wired main subnet and attempting to connect to the Guest Wifi.

    Initial connection to the wifi succeeds with SSID And associated CCID passphrase

    Splash page loads into default web browser for entering guest user credentials.

    After entering guest user credentials - with correct or incorrect password and clicking login page shows white with "/swarm.cgi" for the end of the URL

    I am working to get a user onsite that can test from a device not already on the wired network to see if that is a potential issue.

    Please advise on anything I may be missing.

    Have you installed the required public trusted certificate on your IAP cluster, and assigned it for captive portal?

    If you manage the device from Central, you can get a public certificate from Central; otherwise you will need to get your own certificate and install that.

    We already have a public wildcard SSL certificate applied to the virtual controller for captive portal.
