    Hi all,

I've two switches with the same model/product NO. [Aruba Switch 2930M-JL322A].

I need to configure a bpdu-protection on one them and to use the other one for testing to see if the protected port/s will disable/shutdown.

I did the following commands but not working.  need help plz

    spanning-tree 1/24 bpdu-filter

    spanning-tree 1/24 bpdu-protection

    spanning-tree bpdu-protection-timeout 60

even after that i connect the second switch on the protected port 1/24 then I use the command SHOW CDP NEIGHBOR but it shows me the MAC-Address of the connected switch

if you could write the full configure for that, appreciated

    thank you

Have you turned on spanning tree yet :)      "spanning-tree enable"

Then check status with "show spanning-tree"

Hi Aziz, personally - on a link between two switches - I will avoid (if not strictly necessary) to keep the BPDU filtering enabled on the involved ports used to interconnect both switches (so, as a test, try to perform a no spanning-tree ethernet 1/24 bpdu-filter command to disable the BPDU filtering on that port IF the port 1/24 is used to connect to the other Switch, do the same on the other Switch). Generally the BPDU filtering could be used on edge ports where you connect devices like servers or clients.
