i would like to get details of ownership for a device which performed some suspicious activities on our lan.

i have the mac address, and i know from the first half of, that it is an hp device, mostly probable it is a laptop or other kind of portable device.

it is possible to get some more details? like name of the person or company who bought this device?

or at least the country where it was sold?

any suggestion it will be appreciated!

No that is not possible, you can only lookup the manufacturer and their address possibly in a database but not who owns, bought the device or is currently using it.
