Hi, been setup the all great wifi with instant. The wifi works great and captive portal also works well. Today trying to upgrade the network with wireless controller, but comes with captive portal for guest network isn't showing. I've tried to follow the troubleshooting guide from http://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/Troubleshooting/ArubaOS/Captive_Portal/Web_Help_Index.htm but without any luck.

I'm on 8.7 right now, and setup through the "configuration - task- create new wlan" have upload the right certificate (public one) to "Server Cert".

 - client can ping gateway

 - client can resolve dns

Does the controller have an IP address on the guest vlan?

Does it work if you manually open a webpage? Do you get redirected?

Hi, the controller doesnt have ip on the guest vlan - i've read this somewhere, and sometimes some folks say that's it required some says it doesnt require. Opening others web from browser doesnt redirect both http or https

You either need to have an IP address on the guest vlan or you need to enable firewall allow-tri-session as explained here
