Captive Portal / Splash Screen does not display on Android devices

iPhones and laptops seem to work just fine, but when an Android connects we get no Internet.  We tried opening Chrome and going to http://neverssl.com but nothing happens.  We tried a different Android device and we get a warning about the network may require you to visit the login page.  Clicking on the big Connect button leads you back to the same page.

The guest network is located on 192.168.99/24, while the internal network is 192.168.0/24.  Clicking the preview splash page button opens a page located on 192.168.0/24.

Any idea why Android would not be able to open the splash page while every other mobile and PC works?

    Regards,

    John

No device- or browser-specific settings are used in the guest WLAN.
The WLAN controller sends an HTTP 302 response containing the captive portal page address to the endpoint on the guest WLAN. The endpoint or its browser must follow the link in the HTTP 302 packet. If the redirection works on iPhones and laptops, it means that ClearPass and the Wi-Fi controller are configured correctly.

Verify that Android devices are assigned the correct role on the Wi-Fi network, that they receive a valid IP address, and that they can resolve the FQDN for the landing page via DNS. They must also trust the ClearPass HTTPS certificate-a publicly signed certificate should always be used here.
