  • 1.  Captive Portal via DUR on CX switch

    quck question. 

    CX 6300 running 10.13.x code .

    On an OS-S switch you have to enable  captive-portal on the switch and then push a captive portal DUR . Looking at CX captive portal  implementation, dowsnt seem to be anything else you need to do other than pass a DUR with the redirect stuff in it. Is this the case?

    Hi, 

    thanks for the information. I have this working with a captive portal page redirection but when trying to enable SSO on the web login page the page never correctly loads up

    Just wondering if you have ever got Captive Portal Web login with Microsoft SSO working at all (CX Wired authentication) ? there are quite are quite a few settings for this but it never seems to work

    there are too many moving parts for this and most importantly since the initial auth is using Captive portal, generally you don't want to change IP address after that as it leads to interruptions. is there a reason why you can not use dot1x for your wired users?

    I would also point you to this video series from about 4 years ago which exacly walks through Captive portal on an AOS-CX switch, the ClearPass part is a bit rudimentary regarding the service but for the rest it is a great video series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUfZbcBlURk

    I found I. Had to create a dummy captive portal statement on the switch for the switch to accept a CX DUR
