Hi Daniel,
Thank you for confirming that I will still get the Topology view with UI Groups.
Also, key point that I need to select the Site before the Topology tab is visible 👍
Appreciate the fast response.
Mark.

Hello Mark,
Don't worry, you will see the topology also if you decide to do the configuration by UI, or if in the end you decide for templates group. If you get stuck on any of the template commands or variables, ask on the forum.
Even if you put your admin password in plain text, don't worry, you will see it as ciphertext when accessing the switch via console.
What you have to create in both types of configuration is the site, and assign to this site the devices that you want to appear in this topology. Then you can select the site, and in overview you will see a topology button, and when you click it, the topology will appear.
Whatever you need, let us know
Thanks

Subject: Central + CX Switches - Topology View
Hi all,
I'm about to start a CX-only deployment with Central Management. I came across the following in documentation:
"To view AOS-CX switches in the topology map, you must create a template configuration for the switch with the password in plaintext."
Does this mean that if I use UI groups (as opposed to Template Groups), that my Topology View will be empty?
Many thanks,
Mark.
