web is the same as the web-ui. UI = User Interface, so it's the web based management interface, in short for the command: web.

Not sure what your original certificate was, the link you shared will delete the current certificate and let you create a new self-signed certificate. Procedure looks fine for self-signed certificates. When you recreate the certificate, make sure you put the expiration date far out (like 10 years) to avoid doing this every year.

When I login to the web ui on the 2930F switches, I keep getting 'Crypto - Certificate used by http-ssl application is expired.' I have a total of 5 switches, and the expiration is different in all of them. I assume this is the certificate for web ui (http)?
What would happen if I don't update the certificate, because it looks like one of them was expired 3 years ago (2020/02/08), and I'm still able to login to web ui.
Do I just follow these steps to update the certificate?
