Cloud Managed Networks

Hi fairly new to Aruba central but i need to move our switches over to a management vlan.

Currently they are on a fairly flat network and the switches are using vlan1.  Our router has been configured with all the new vlans.

If I am using Central to manage and configure the switches I was wondering how do i go about changing the switch to get an ip on vlan 10 using dhcp, untag the uplink port with vlan10 with out loosing connection to Central.

My thinking was to complete the change in this order at device level (all switches are in a UI group)

1) create a static route of 0.0.0.0/0 to the gateway ip of vlan10 (10.232.10.1)

2) remove dhcp from vlan 1 and add dhcp to vlan10

3) add vlan 10 on the uplink port as untagged.

I know at each step Central is going to send the change to the switch once i click save on the setting screen. Is this order going to drop the connection to central and then be stuck as it won't receive the next config change?

I read that someone else in the community had to make the route at group level and not device level, is this the correct way to do it?

Appreciate the help.

Is this for CX switches? note that by default CX switches can reach Aruba central using any of their VLANs/interfaces or OOBM interface (for CX switches that have OOBM interface) 

your approach should work and device specific configuration always overwrite the group configuration.
